Choosing Your Homesite

If you have not yet purchased the property for your new home, Stephenson Custom Homes will assist you. Together, we can be sure that the site you choose will compliment the master land plan you desire to create upon it. We will verify that there are no recorded easements or restrictions that could disrupt the master plan of the estate. We can also counsel you regarding potential soil considerations and possible remedies.

Order A Lot Survey
Stephenson Custom Homes will order a lot survey that will tells us the locations of easements, trees, topography, power poles, floodplain, building set back lines, and street locations. This is a tool that the architect and Stephenson Custom Homes will use to design the estate home. Stephenson Custom Homes wants to be able to design the home to compliment the homesite without sacrificing trees.

Meet With Approved Architects
Stephenson Custom Homes has a relationship with M.J. Mathews and Associates, Richard Drummond Davis or John Allen to help you with your new estate home design. We will take the lot survey and sit with one of the two architects that you select and create a “master list” of what you want in your home. Stephenson Custom Homes recommends that you start collecting pictures and floor plans of homes that fit your needs so that we can be as precise as we can to meet your expectations. We will provide past floor plans that we have built to create the momentum for your home.
