Phase 4

Locate Gas and Power Lines
Before the plumber starts digging they must know where all the electrical and gas lines are prior to the plumbing rough. You will see flags and usually spray painted lines on the ground.

Form Survey
Stephenson Custom Homes will schedule a survey company to verify that the forms (outline of the foundation) are placed correctly on the homesite, and are not encroaching upon easements or the restricted building lines that are mandated by the city.

Piers
Stephenson Custom Homes concrete company will stake in the foundation the locations of the pier per the engineer drawings.

Plumbing Rough
The plumber will start laying out all the copper for water supply and plastic for ventilation and sewer.

Pre Pour Electrical
The electrician will run conduit for floor plugs and islands prior to the pouring of the foundation.

Backout Slab
At this time the concrete company will reconstruct the beams for the foundation per the engineered plans.

Plumbing Tub Boxes
The plumber will place a box of sand around the drain of the showers and bath tub prior to the pouring of the foundation. This is so that we can move the drain in case of it not lining up with the drain line. After drain is installed the balance of the box will be filled with concrete.

Pre-Pour Inspection
The engineer that designed the foundation will come to the project and inspect the foundation to make sure that we have designed the foundation per the engineering drawings. The plumber will also return to measure again to make sure that all the plumbing stacks are inside the walls and in the correct location. The electrician will also return to make sure that all the under-foundation electrical is the correct location.

Pour Foundation
This is the big day! Stephenson Custom Homes will pour the foundation as designed by a registered engineer per the soils report of the homesite.
